Swedish Söderling smashes Nadal’s French Open winning roll

Swedish Robin Söderling has upset Rafael Nadal's hopes of a record fifth successive French Open title. Rafa, the current world number one, was the obvious favourite but was no match for Söderling, losing 6-2, 6-7 (2/7), 6-4, 7-6 (7/2).

The 24-year-old Swede was born in Tibro in Western Sweden - A city known as “the Land between the Lakes” because it sits between Sweden’s two largest lakes, Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern.
