The silver mine in Sala, northwest of Sweden’s capital city Stockholm, has one of the world’s best preserved mine settings and with one single suite, 155m underground, it is now included the Unusual Hotels of the World Guide. Upon arrival an experienced guide will take you to your unique underground suite whilst telling you the story of the silver mine’s heydays when the production amounted to more than three tons of silver each year.
