Southern Sweden is easily travelled and since the opening of Oresund, a bridge between Denmark & Sweden, the gap between the two neighbouring countries has become negligible.
Southern Sweden is often referred to as the cradle of Swedish design, especially in the district of Småland. The famous Kingdom of Crystal in Småland has become one of Sweden's most popular tourist destinations.
All over southern Sweden there are about 200 historically and culturally fascinating castles, chateaus and manor houses from various historic eras that are well worth visiting.
