Jokkmokk

A popular tourist village centred around the Saame people. The village is located 15km inside the arctic boundaries. Most of the Lapland area belongs to the Jokkmokk district, where the Saame people have grazed their reindeer for centuries. This area has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its dynamic natural environment, precious animals, such as brown bears and lynx, and, of course, for the Saame culture and relics. The Ajtte Museum introduces the life and hunting history of the Saame people, which is a must see. A Saame festival is hosted every year in early February. You can enjoy hiking, canoeing, dog sledding and other outdoor activities all year round.

Access: By bus, 3 hours bus ride from Lulea or 1 hour by bus from Gällivare airport.

Archbishop's Palace

At the Archbishop's Palace you will find a collection that includes the Archbishop's Palace Museum, Royal Family Museum and Military Museum. It is located next to the Nidaros Cathedral. Restaurants are also available.

Frogner Park (Frognerparken)

Frogner Park is one of the highlights in Oslo. The park contains 192 sculptures with more than 600 figures, all modelled in full size by Gustav Vigeland. Vigeland also designed the architectural setting and the layout of the grounds. The "Monolitten Human Tower", located in the centre of the park, is a masterpiece that took 13 years to construct. The park also has a pool and tennis courts. Also make sure you don’t miss the fantastic open-air restaurant.

Svenskt Tenn is an old textile design shop that apart from textiles, they sell glassware, pottery, lighting equipment and furniture. Svenskt Tenn is a well know design shop that displays on of Sweden’s finest designs and furniture.

Smaland Kingdom of Crystal

In the mid 18th century, with forestry in decline, this south-eastern district of Sweden needed to find a new industry to support its people. The glass works industry was born in Kosta, using firewood from the immense surrounding forests and water from the lakes. As the glass industry boomed and its wares distributed all over the world, the district soon came to be known as the Kingdom of Crystal. Authentic products can be bought at discount prices and there is, of course, the factory tour. There are 11 factories in all, and a few of them are introduced below. The access cities are Kalmar and Vaxjo

The Bergen Art Museum possesses a fine art collection of Bergen artists such as, Stenersen and Rasmus Meyer.

Tivoli Garden (Tivoli)

An amusement park, adjacent to Copenhagen Central Station. In addition to the Ferris wheel and roller coaster, you can also enjoy the blooming flowers of each season, and the pantomime performances at the Peacock Theatre or fulfilling entertainments at the concert hall. Ten thousand illuminations are set up on the park grounds during the Christmas City, which is held from mid November to December 23rd, and invite its viewers to the world of Christmas.

Nordkapp Hall (The North Cape Hall)

The Nordkapp Hall is a space used in multiple ways and visited by many tourists and locals. It features an auditorium, information centre, commissary store, and a post office that issues Nordkapp arrival certifications and the world's northernmost Christian church. It also has a bar and a restaurant where you can view the midnight sun over a glass of champagne.

Grieghallen

Grieghallen is a concert hall that was opened on the first day of the Bergen International Art Festival in 1978. The hall plays a key role in the music scene of Bergen. Concerts are held practically every day here during the period of the International Art Festival.

At the Svalbard Museum you can learn about Svalbard's history, culture and the lives of the people living in Svalbard. The museum was renewed in 2006.

Oslo Cathedral (Oslo Domkirke)

The current Oslo Cathedral is the third cathedral in Oslo, Norway. The first, Hallvards Cathedral, was built by Sigurd I of Norway in the first half of the 12th century, and was located by the Old Bishop's Palace in Oslo, some 1.5 kilometres east of today's Oslo Cathedral.

Munch Museum (Munch-museet)

The Munch Museum opened in 1963 and was purpose-built to house Munch’s unique collection of approximately 1100 paintings, 4500 drawings and 18000 prints. Edvard Munch's art is the most significant Norwegian contribution to the history of art, above all as a pioneer of Expressionism in the Nordic countries.

St. Petri Church (St. Petri Kyrka)

A red gothic style building built in the mid 14th century with an 88m high tower, located next to the city hall. A magnificent fresco painting can be fond inside along with a chapel built for traders during the Middle Ages.

Royal Library (Det Kongelige Bibliotek)

Possesses a total of 2 million books, magazines, and other items including Andersen's manuscripts written in his own hand. An excellent restaurant with a modern interior called Søren k is also inside the building
