Eikedalen Alpine centre

Eikedalen alpine centre is located 55 km from Bergen at Kvamskogen. Eikedalen is the second biggest ski centre in the region of Hordaland after Voss. Eikedalen has 7 ski lifts, 12 different slopes from green to black difficulty levels.The ski centre is also open 4-5 evenings a week (1700-2100).

Ski in Trysil

Trysil is the largest ski resort in Norway. The location ensures a stable climate ideal for winter sports. The season generally starts in late October and ends in late April.

Ski in Lillehammer

Hafjell is located 15 km north of Lillehammer which is a town and a skiing district in central Norway. Lillehammer hosted the Winter Olympics in 1994 and many of the Olympic events took place in Hafjell. The shuttle bus service from Lillehammer centre makes it very accessible.

Ski in Hemsedal

Hemsedal is a village and ski resort in central Norway. The stable inland climate ensures good snow conditions from November to May. Hemsedal includes two skiing areas, Hemsedal ski centre and Solheisen ski centre in Grøndalen.

Ski in Norefjell

Kingcrab Safari in Kirkines

Longyearbyen

Longearbyen is the central town at Svalbard Islands and it is located on the largest island called Spitsbergen. Mining plays a major part of the community and you can even enjoy a mining guided tour. But Longyearbyen offers more exotic excursions than that such as glacier trekking, dog sledding, fjord cruising, hiking, skiing during the summer period, and snow mobile riding.

You can view the midnight sun between April 19 and August 23 and if you want to experience the period when the sun doesn’t rise you should visit this area between October 28 to February 14

Access: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Tromsø to Longyearbyen by Scandinavian Airlines SAS. There are no roads connecting the islands so you will have to travel by plane.

Stavanger

Stavanger is Norway’s third largest metropolitan area and it is located on the south west coast of Norway. Stavenger has a great number of colourful wooden architectural structures and it is said to have the largest number of wooden houses in Europe. Its economy is driven by the North Sea oil fields. The principal sightseeing spots of this town include the Norwegian Oil Field Museum, Canned Goods Museum, and the cathedral. Also, an interesting suggestion is to head for the hills. Two of the best day hikes in Norway are located a couple of hours out of town on the beautiful Lysefjorden. Not too far from Stavanger, alpine centres are ready for skiers and snowboarders throughout the winter season. You can travel with a high-speed boat from Bergen to Stavanger or to Lysefjord by bus or boat from Stavanger.

Cross-Country Ski Tour

On this tour, the local guide will take you around a ski trail equipped with lighting that stretches vertically across Tromsø Island. Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Ski Jump

Holmenkollen is the most visited attraction in Norway! The ski jump was used for the 1952 Winter Olympics and the museum located beneath the ski jump itself. Scandinavia's first ever ski simulator is set up outside the Ski Museum and you can experience the thrill of downhill skiing with the latest technology.

Røros

Røros is a beautiful town with a unique church and a row of 100 wooden houses. It is a registered site on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. During winter, a traditional market called "Rørosmartnan" is organized, that draws many tourists and visitors each year. There is also an outdoor musical theatre performance played in Røros to commemorate the tragedy when a Swedish soldiers froze to death. Røros is also known for its copper mines.

Dog Sledding

This is a tour that is part of the Open-Air Activity Centre, located approximately 30 minutes from Tromsø city. The tour offers a pick-up and drop off service at your own hotel where the guide will greet you at your hotel with 120 huskies. A rental service of cold-resistant clothing and shoes is also available. You can experience the vast nature by riding through mountains and valleys. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a herd of reindeers. After the sledding you can warm yourself at a bonfire inside a Sami tent to enjoy dinner, coffee, and "Lefse" (Norwegian flat bread made from potates).

Ice Fishing Tour

To experience Ice Fishing Tour you have to travel to Ramfjord campsite by car, which located approximately 30 min from Tromso. Having changed into cold-resistant clothing, you will head for the ice cap on a snow scooter. After enjoying fishing for about an hour at a fishing spot with holes in the ice, you will return to the campsite, where you can taste the fish you caught. Ramfjord is also known for being a northern light viewing spot and a Sami people habitat.
