Geirangerfjord

The Geirangerfjord is situated in south western Norway, northeast of Bergen, Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord, set 120km from one another are considered as archetypical fjord landscapes and among the most scenically outstanding anywhere. Their exceptional natural beauty is derived from their narrow and steep-sided crystalline rock walls that rise up to 1,400m from the Norwegian Sea. The Geirangerfjord stands proudly as one of the most popular sightseeing spots in the world that portrays the forces of nature. The main sightseeing spots include the Briksdal Glacier in Sogn og Fjordane and the Dalsnibba Observatory Access is possible from Oslo, Bergen and Ålesund with the use of trains and buses.

Longyearbyen

Longearbyen is the central town at Svalbard Islands and it is located on the largest island called Spitsbergen. Mining plays a major part of the community and you can even enjoy a mining guided tour. But Longyearbyen offers more exotic excursions than that such as glacier trekking, dog sledding, fjord cruising, hiking, skiing during the summer period, and snow mobile riding.

You can view the midnight sun between April 19 and August 23 and if you want to experience the period when the sun doesn’t rise you should visit this area between October 28 to February 14

Access: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Tromsø to Longyearbyen by Scandinavian Airlines SAS. There are no roads connecting the islands so you will have to travel by plane.

Telemark Canal

At the Telemark Canal you can travel past the rural areas on the dynamic Queen Victoria boat, which will take you through the Telemark Canal from the coastal area. The Telemark Canal received the Europe Nostra award for its restoration techniques and preservation abilities. Enjoy a serene boat ride through the canal while interacting with the friendly locals.

Norheimsund

Norheimsund is a settlement surrounded with majestic fjord nature in the middle of the Hardangerfjord, just an hour drive from the city of Bergen. The Steinsdalsfossen waterfall, located 2km from the village, is particularly popular as you can walk behind it and experience its beauty and strength from the inside of the waterfall.

Folgefonna Glacier Summer Ski Centre

Folgefonna Summer Ski Centre is situated on the glacier at 1,200 metres above sea level, 19 km from Jondal ferry quay. It is the third largest summer ski centre in Norway and it provides fine conditions for snowboard, alpine and cross-country skiing. To ski in the summer is a fantastic experience so for the ski lover this is a great outdoor activity to do in the summer.

Tusenfryd

Tusenfryd is one of the biggest theme parks in Norway. It takes about 20 minutes by car from central Oslo. The theme park has the biggest wooden roller coaster in Europe.

Jondal Cathedral

Jondal Cathedral is located in Haradanger and is famous for hosting beautiful organ concerts in the summer time.

Nordkapp

Nordkapp is a 307 m high cliff and is usually referred to as the northernmost point of Europe. Some 200,000 tourists visit this spot annually, during the two to three months of summer. From this point, it is 2110km to the north pole. In the past, this was a spot that the Sami people used for sacrifice. Nordkapp gradually became famous as a sightseeing area after king Oscar II of Sweden visited these lands in 1873. It is popular for tourists to come to Nordkapp after spending a night at Honningsvåg.

Access Approximately 45 minutes from Honningsvåg. There are no regular bus services during the winter so reservation is necessary.
