Mt. Floyen Cable Car (Floibanen Funicular)

The Floyen Cable Car climbs Mt. Fløyen, which has an altitude of 320m. From its peak, you have a fantastic panoramic view of Bergen City. This train is also a means of transportation for people living in the residential area on the slope of Mt. Fløyen. It is recommended to use the train to reach the peak, but then walk down.

Maria Church (Mariakirken)

The Maria church is a Romanesque-style church that was set up in the first half of the 12th century. This is the oldest architectural structure in Bergen. The decorations on the pulpit inside the church are very beautiful and are said to be Norway's highest-quality baroque decorations.

National Theater (Nationaltheatret)

The National Theatre is the largest in the country and has a history of over 100 years. Guided tours are available but reservations are necessary.

Also called Det Naturhistorisk Museum, is a museum with three sections featuring plants, geology and animals.

Troldhaugen

The house of Edvard Grieg, the composer from Bergen, is located 20 minutes from the city by car. Although Grieg once fell out of favor with Bergen and left the city, he retuned in 1885 and lived in the house for 22 years until his death. Troldhaugen means "the hill where the troll lives". From this hill that overlooks the fjord, Grieg composed a number of piano pieces. The house also has a café and a concert hall named "Troldsalen"

St. Jorgens Hospital

This hospital treated leprosy patients from the latter half of the medieval period. There is a leprosy museum (Lepra-museet) on its premises that stores the research papers of the Norwegian doctor, Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen, who dedicated his life to the extermination of leprosy.
